Essential Insurance proud sponsors of Beechwood Cancer Care ‘Messy Play’

We are delighted that that Essential Insurance will be Beechwood’s ‘Messy Play Sponsor, 2021’. This will enable Beechwood Cancer Care Creative Arts and Therapies Practitioner to purchase all the relevant materials required for therapeutic ‘messy play’ sessions.

The onset of the coronavirus pandemic has left the economy in serious financial trouble. And charities are no exception. During lockdown, charities such as Beechwood Cancer Care, that we are hugely proud to support, have not only had to change the way that they can continue to support their patients, their ability to fundraise in traditional ways has been severely compromised.

We’d like to thank all our staff for their on-going generosity, that is truly appreciated by Beechwood. Their support through the payroll giving scheme has made it possible for Beechwood to continue to provide a wide range of support services for people and families whose lives have been affected by cancer or life-limiting illnesses. This has been a funding lifeline and as a direct result of contributions through the payroll giving scheme Essential Insurance employees have helped to fund specialist training to enhance Beechwood’s support to those that are grieving, essential resources to help children who are experiencing loss and grief of a parent or carer and the upcoming refurbishment of a ‘Teenage Therapy Room’.

Chief Executive, Linda Steggles on behalf of the Beechwood Cancer Care team commented, “we would like to thank everyone at Essential Insurance for their kind generosity and support. Generous contributions from organisations like yourself, make it possible for Beechwood to continue to provide a wide range of support services for people and families whose lives have been affected by cancer or life-limiting illnesses. For children and young people especially, this is a time filled with difficult questions, feelings and emotions that they might not understand or know how to explain and this sponsorship money will be helping them through this journey.”

Rob White, Director of Essential Insurance adds, “during these unprecedented times, our local charities need funding more than ever and we are delighted that we are able to continue to offer our support to Beechwood Cancer Care. I am full of pride that the team here at Essential Insurance choose to give so generously and to know that their kindness is being put to such good use, for such a great cause so close to home, is heart-warming.”
