Meet The Team - Adam’s Story

Ben I joined Essential Insurance in 2015 as a senior advisor, having already sold protection in my previous role. Although I was in a senior position, I found the training and support to be fantastic - I really hit the ground running. Within 12 months, not only was I performing well, but I was also helping new starters to develop their skills. I applied and was successful to get on to the ‘Essential Management Programme’ that gave me the foundation skills I needed to take on my own team. Since moving to Essential I've been rewarded based on my skill set and not my time served -  it’s not about the length of service here, it's the right person, with the right skills to do the job that they look for - and they give you all the help and support you need to succeed. I am currently working towards my senior status as Team Leader and it’s brilliant working here. The sky really is the limit at Essential!

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people who will be responsible for providing best practice advice to a broad range of customers looking to receive information or quotations about a variety of protection products; life insurance, income protection and critical illness cover. We seek senior advisors working in the advised sector - a minimum of 24 months’ experience is essential. If this is you, after a successful initial probation and 12 months service we’ll support and fund you to complete an industry recognised qualification.
Due to company growth and internal promotions to advisor roles, we’re looking for ambitious, hardworking and driven people who would like to develop their career in our fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation. If you have good communication skills, you’re very organised and enthusiastic then the position of Customer Contact Agent could be the ideal starting block for you. The role is to ensure existing and new clients are called in response to their enquiry, offered quotations, and are dealt with professionally, whilst adhering to compliance standards and meeting targets as set by the business. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people who will be responsible for providing best practice advice to company directors, business owners and shareholders, who are looking to protect themselves, their businesses and key employees. You'll be dealing with a high volume of inbound enquiries made by key decision makers and so it's essential that you have a minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role. As an important point of contact for our customers you’ll be expected to provide an exceptional experience and be able to build relationships with them. We are looking for someone with previous retention experience who is a great communicator, personable and able to relate to customer’s ensuring the best outcome for them is achieved. This is a vital role within the organisation and 12 months’ previous experience of working in a retention role is required.
It’s our goal to serve our customers extremely well and our Customer Care Agents are a critical point of contact with our customers post-sale. In this role, you’ll be expected to provide every customer with an exceptional level of customer service and deal with any after sale queries that our customers may have. We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, personable and able to relate to customer’s ensuring the best outcome for them is achieved. In addition to great interpersonal skills, you’ll need to be adept at administering workflows, diaries and making calls within required timescales.
